Resort Information

  • This beach-front resort is located in Marmari, on the northwest coast of Kos.
  • This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, a shop, a spa, beach access, a gym, a sauna, treatment rooms, a play area/playground and sports courts. There may be additional charges for some of these facilities, for more information please contact TUI or the resort.
  • The resort has 306 rooms available. Only one room has adaptations for disabled people.
  • Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
  • The resort provides accommodation in several buildings, some of which have 2 storeys. The resort is accessible via step-free level pathways, with many steep ramps and steps. There are no lifts.
  • There are 4 restaurants.
  • There are 6 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
  • There is a shop.
  • The shop has door widths over 75cm.
  • The shop does not have room to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
  • Standard toilet facilities can be found next to the gym on the basement level, in the pool area and next to the beach.
  • Baby change facilities can be found within the female standard toilets next to the gym, in the Baby Room next to the pools and in the female toilet next to the beach.
  • The resort has the following available: a deaf alert system.
  • There is a medication fridge at the reception.
  • Guests cannot hire mobility equipment locally.
  • The resort does not have a list of local suppliers.
  • Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
  • Mobility scooters can be stored and charged in the guests' rooms, however, all rooms have high door thresholds.
  • We have been told that assistance dogs are not allowed in the resort.
  • This resort is aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
  • There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
  • WiFi is available throughout the resort.
  • There is a Kids' Club operated by TUI and the hotel. For more information, please contact TUI or the resort.
  • There are no guest rooms or toilets with adaptations for disabled people in the resort.

Entrance

  • The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building.
  • There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
  • The ramp is very steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with handrails on both sides.
  • There are manual doors at the entrance, which open both ways.
  • The width of the door opening is 103cm.
  • The doors have a low colour contrast.
  • A member of resort staff is available for assistance at this entrance.

Reception

  • There is step-free level access to reception.
  • The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
  • The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The flooring is patterned.
  • There are coffee tables, sofas, high stools and chairs without armrests available in this reception area.
  • There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is background noise which varies depending on the time of day.
  • The width of the manual exit door in reception is 92cm.

Getting Around the Building

  • This building contains a main reception, a shop, bars, restaurants, a gym, an indoor play area and sports courts.
  • The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs.
  • The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the main entrance and the toilets.
  • The following areas do not have step-free access: the guest rooms (can be overcome by a portable ramp) and the toilets.
  • There is hard flooring.

Getting Around the Resort

  • The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: the main entrance, the guest rooms, the toilets, the pool area, the main buffet restaurant, the entertainment and the beach.
  • The following areas do not have step-free access: the guest rooms (can be overcome by portable ramp), the toilets, parts of the pool area and the amphitheatre.

Baby Lounge - Pool Area

  • There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
  • The ramp is slight over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
  • The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the door opening is 100cm.
  • There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • There is a chair with armrests on both sides.
  • There is a toilet in the parent and baby room.
  • Waste bins include: a nappy bin and a general waste bin with lid.

Toilet (Outside the Reception Lobby)

  • The female toilet was surveyed.
  • There is also a male toilet in the same location.
  • There is not step-free access into the toilet.
  • The ramp is very steep under 75cm wide, with no handrails.
  • There is 1 step to access the toilet. This is unmarked, with no handrails.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
  • The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
  • The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
  • There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
