Access Guide
Getting to the Room (205)
- The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the rear doors and head down the steep ramp straight. Bypass the pool and turn left. Turn right and continue along the pathway. Take another right and room 205 is on the right hand side.
- The most accessible route to the room has a step, a slight ramp/slope, a steep ramp/slope and manual doors.
Room (205)
- There is not step-free access into the room.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 8cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- There is hard flooring.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm).
- The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- The room does have a flashing fire alarm.

- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- There is hard flooring.
- The toilet seat is 40cm from the floor.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder and the wash basin.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door, the floor and the toilet seat.
- The ensuite has: a shower cubicle.
