Access Guide
Getting to the Room (138)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the rear exit doors and proceed along the pathway which bypasses the pool area.
At the signed crossroads in the pathway, turn left and head down the pathway.
Continue along the pathway until you reach the accommodation block on the right, where room number 138 is located. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes and automatic doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
- There is a 3cm lip at the door threshold.
Room (138)
- There is step-free access into the room, via a slope.
- The slope is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 75cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 80cm.
Ensuite (138)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 65cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower head over the bath.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the bath.
