Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2210)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Turn left at the reception desk and proceed up the ramp towards the lifts.
Take the lift to the second floor. Exit the lift and take a right. Proceed along the corridor.
The door to room 2210 is on your left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 107cm x 115cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (2210)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 88cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 8cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (2210 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 70cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
