Getting to the Room (124)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take one of the lifts in the reception lobby to floor 1. On exiting the lift, turn left and proceed through the fire doors and into the room corridor. The door to room number 124 is on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 90cm x 166cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (124)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 90cm wide.
  • The bed type is double.
  • The top of the mattress is 70cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 30cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 104cm.

Ensuite (124 - Left Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 108cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
