Access Guide
Getting to the Room (3005)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the doors to the left of the reception desk and take a right.
Go down the ramp then turn right and right again.
Continue along the pathway for approximately 20 metres and the door to room 3005 is on the left hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and automatic doors.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (3005)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 88cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 16cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (3005 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 90cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 100cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
Getting to the Room (Standard Room - 3102)
- The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the doors to the left of the reception desk and take a right Exit the reception lobby and take the ramp. Continue ahead and take the pathway towards block 31. Take a right into the accommodation block and you will find room 3102.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes, a steep ramp/slope and automatic doors.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (3102)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (3102)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 96cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
