Getting to the Room (316)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take a lift to the 3rd floor. On exiting the lift, turn left.
Proceed straight ahead, through the fire doors and into the room corridor. The door to room number 316 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 99cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 136cm x 150cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (316)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 182cm.
Ensuite (316 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 87cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 125cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
