Getting to the Room (1409)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Exit the reception lobby via the rear exit doors then turn left. Proceed along the covered walkway and straight ahead into the corridor towards Block 1.
    Enter Block 1 via the open doorway (173cm wide) and turn right. The door to room number 1409 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (1409)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 81cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 17cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 85cm.

Ensuite (1409 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 105cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 185cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
  • There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and vertical grab rails at the shower.
  • There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is a portable seat in the shower.
