Access Guide
Getting to the Room (10101)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception area via the automatic rear exit door and turn left.
Head across to the first accommodation block and enter via the open doorway.
Take a right into the room corridor and the door to room 10101 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, automatic doors and an open entrance with no doors.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
- The open entrance to the accommodation building is 80cm wide.
Room (10101)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 29cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 114cm.
Ensuite (10101 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 99cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The open doorway into the shower measures 80cm. There is a shower seat.
There is no alarm in the bathroom but there is a telephone on the wall.
