Access Guide
Getting to (Entertainment Area)
- The entertainment area is located next to the Aqua Park.
- The most accessible route has a steep ramp/slope, a lift and step-free level access.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is on the basement floor along the rear corridor, please click here for more information (new tab)
Entrance (To Access the Water Park, Archery and Entertainment)
- The entrance to the water park is located at the rear of the basement floor.
- The entrance to the area is accessed by lift.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the water park.
- The ramp is slight, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 148cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Entertainment
- The entertainment area is outside.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The flooring outside is hard.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The entertainment area has: chairs with armrests and tables which are accessible to wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- There is room for wheelchair users to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm) in the majority of this area.
- There is a bar located at the rear of the seating area, the height of the bar is 110cm.
Toilet (Aqua Tower, Aqua Snack Bar, Entertainment Area and Archery)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There are 2 steps to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is push pad activated, opens by sliding and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 85cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever.
