Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1403)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- After checking into the main reception, cross the reception lobby area.
From the lobby area there is a slight ramp leading to the room corridors.
The lifts to other floors are located in front of you after the ramp. As you reach the lifts, turn right and follow the corridor to the room. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a slight ramp/slope.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (1403)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 84cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), adapted wardrobes for seated users, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), bedside plug sockets and a lowered spyhole.
- The room does not have a fridge.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.

Ensuite (1403 - Right Hand Transfer)

- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 100cm .
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- The toilet seat is 46cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: vertical grab rails on both sides of the wash basin.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin, the towel dispenser and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever.
- The ensuite does have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat, all grab rails and the dropdown rail.
