Access Guide
Getting to (Scalini Bar)
- The Scalini Bar is located on the third floor of the main building.
- The most accessible route has manual doors, a lift and step-free level access.

Entrance
- The entrance to the bar is located opposite the lift.
- There is step-free level access via lift at the entrance to the bar.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open away from you.
- The width of the door opening is 160cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Bar
- The bar has full table service and serves drinks.
- The following are available: drinking straws.
- There may be background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard and low pile carpet.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- Lighting levels are good in this bar.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: sofas, chairs with armrests and chairs without armrests.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard and low pile carpet.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- There may be background noise.
- Lighting levels are good in this seating area.
Toilet
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 76cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever.
