Getting to the Room (8108)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the automatic doors to the left of the reception desk, then head down the steep ramp.
Continue along the corridor and through the double doors into the room corridor. The door to room 8108 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope, automatic doors and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (8108)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 81cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony doors is 105cm.
Ensuite (8108 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 89cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 120cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
