Getting to the Room (A01)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take a right at the reception desk, cross the lobby and exit through the automatic doors.
    Proceed straight ahead through the 2nd set of automatic doors and veer left into the room corridor. The door to room number A01 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and automatic doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.

Room (A01)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 92cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 70cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 25cm high.
  • Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 80cm.

Ensuite (A01 - No Transfer Space)

  • The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 90cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
