Access Guide
Getting to the Room (2102)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take a right at the reception desk and continue along the room corridor, past the toilets. Room 2102 is on the left.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (2102)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 87cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 68cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 35cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 100cm. There is a 9cm step at the balcony threshold.
Ensuite (2102 - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 81cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical rail on the left side of the wash basin, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a portable seat in the shower.
