Access Guide
Getting to the Room (101)
- The average walking time to the room is 3 minutes.
- From reception walk past the left side of the bar and turn left to the path and a slight slope. Walk past the stair case and turn right, walk up the slight ramp and then turn right .
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
- There are club carts available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
- The club carts can be transferred into from a wheelchair.
Room (101)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 2 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 90cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 12cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (Room 101 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 96cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet and a shower with a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 130cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The height of the flip-down shower seat is 41cm.
