Access Guide
Getting to the Room (6101)
- The average walking time to the room is 6 minutes.
- Exit reception via the door to the right hand side of the reception desk.
Head down the slight ramp at the door threshold and continue along the pathway under the bridge which connects the two buildings, then take a right turn before the steps.
Take the ramp up, then follow the winding pathway towards the pool area. Take a left turn and bypass the pool area.
Continue ahead and just before the wooden bridge, veer left and take the pathway to block 6000 (Armadillo Building). Proceed up the slight ramp to the lift, which is to the right hand side of the entrance doors to the building
On exiting the lift on the first floor, turn right and proceed through the manual doors. Room 6101 is the first door on the left hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift, slight ramps/slopes, automatic doors and doors permanently held open.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 105cm x 142cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (6101)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 77cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 2cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (6101 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a lowered bath and a shower head over the bath.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 98cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the bath.

- Exit reception via the door to the right hand side of the reception desk. Head down the slight ramp and continue along the pathway under the bridge which connects the two buildings, then take a right turn before the steps.
Take the ramp up, turn left then veer right. Take a right turn and bypass the pool area. Continue ahead and veer right into building 5000.
Take the lift to the 1st floor. On exiting the lift turn left, proceed through the doors and along the room corridor. Room 5118 is on the left hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has a standard lift, slight ramps/slopes, automatic doors and doors permanently held open.
Room (5118)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 77cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 2cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (5118)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 69cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
