Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1228)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Proceed to the left of the reception desk and take a lift to level 2.
On exiting the lift, turn left. The door to room number 1228 is straight ahead. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 110cm x 123cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (1228)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 25cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The space to the right of the bed measures 108cm.
The door to the balcony is 72cm wide.
Ensuite (1228)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 89cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 160cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
