Getting to the Room (004)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • Take a left at the reception desk and proceed through the single manual door and up the steep ramp (130cm wide).
    Continue along the room corridor and room number 004 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a door permanently held open and a very steep ramp/slope.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny.

Room (004)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 5 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 102cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 16cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 115cm.

Ensuite (004 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 100cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 80cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
