Access Guide
Getting to
- Bar Salon Almirante is located on the lower ground floor of the main resort building, to the left and round the corner as you exit the lift.
- The most accessible route has a lift and an open entrance with no doors.

Entrance
- The entrance to the bar is located around the corner to the left as you exit the lift on the lower ground floor.
- The entrance to the bar is accessed by lift.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the bar.
- The ramp is very steep, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going up.
- There is an opening without doors at the entrance, which is permanently open.
- You can access the Bar Salon Almirante through the Pool Snack Bar.
Bar
- Access into the bar area is via steps.
- There are 2 steps, which are clearly marked, with no handrails.
- The bar serves drinks.
- Menus are handheld.
- Food served includes: drinks only.
- The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups and a portable card machine for payment.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around some of the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny.
- Lighting levels are low in this bar.
Seating
- Access into the seating area is via a steep ramp/slope.
- The ramp is over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is no step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: high stools, armchairs and chairs with armrests.
- The seating area has: a priority table.
- The tables are not suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).

Toilet (Female and Male)

- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 73cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
- The baby change table is in the female toilets and is 83cm high.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Female - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free access into the toilet, via a ramp.
- The ramp is steep between 75cm and 150cm wide, with a handrail on the right going down.
- There is no signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 77cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 160cm x 251cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 106cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
