Access Guide
Getting to the Room (402)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Take one of the 3 larger lifts from the reception lobby and exit the lift on level 4. On exiting the lift, take a left turn and proceed through the fire doors.
Take another left turn into the room corridor and the door to room 402 is on the right hand side. - The most accessible route to the room has a standard lift, a manual door and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Room (402)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 25cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (402 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 83cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 140cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).

- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 69cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (414)
- The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 61cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower head over the bath.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
