Getting to the Room (007)

  • The average walking time to the room is 15 minutes.
  • Exit the reception building through the double doors to the left of the desk.
    Continue along the path and use the pedestrian crossing to cross the internal road.
    Turn right at the end of the crossing and proceed along the pavement.
    Continue straight across the second pedestrian crossing, in the direction of the Menorca accommodation building ahead of you.
    Proceed through the Menorca accommodation building, and out the doors on the opposite side.
    Keep to the left and follow the path past the swimming pool.
    Continue straight ahead, down the ramp and turn left at the bottom of the ramp, into the Formentera building.
    The room is along the corridor on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, automatic doors and manual doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
  • The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
  • The internal dimensions for the lift are 108cm x 145cm.

Room (007)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 80cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 53cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 25cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does not have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.

Ensuite (007 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 80cm.
  • There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 105cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is no dropdown rail.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
