Getting to the Room (101- with Adaptations for Disabled People)

The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
From the entrance foyer, turn left at the reception desk and continue along the corridor until you reach the lift lobby.
Take the lift to the first floor. Upon exiting the lift, turn right around the corner and follow the first floor corridor. Room 101 is located along the corridor on the right.
The most accessible route to the room has a standard lift and step-free level access.
The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 6 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 76cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 58cm from the floor.
The space under the bed is 25cm high.
Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
There is hard flooring.
The flooring is shiny.
Seating in the room includes: chairs without armrests.
The following adaptations are available: window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm), bedside plug sockets, light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm) and plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm).
The following adaptations are not available: adapted wardrobes for seated users and a lowered spyhole.
The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
The room does not have an emergency alarm.
The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door.

Balcony / Terrace View
- There is a balcony. The door is under 75cm wide and has a short step
- The balcony has: chairs with armrests and a coffee table.
- There is a step onto the balcony.

The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 77cm.
There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 70cm.
There is hard flooring.
The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
The toilet seat is 42cm from the floor.
There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
The taps are lever mixer.
The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: all grab rails, the dropdown rail and the internal door.
The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat and the floor.
The ensuite has: a shower with a step.
There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
