Access Guide
Getting to (The Indoor Pool)
- The indoor pool is located on the ground floor of the resort building, to the right of the reception desk.
- The most accessible route has step-free level access.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is on the ground floor of the main resort building, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance
- The entrance to the swimming pool is located on the ground floor of the resort building, to the right of the reception desk.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the swimming pool.
- There is a manual door at the entrance, which opens away from you.
- The width of the door opening is 138cm.
- The door has a high colour contrast.
- You can also access the indoor pool via 2 external entrances from the outdoor pool. The doors open inwards and are 70cm wide.
Swimming Pool
- This is an indoor relaxation pool.
- Access into the water is via a ladder or steps.
- There are 6 steps with handrails on both sides.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
- Additional facilities include: a jacuzzi and poolside showers.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
Sauna
- This sauna is located opposite the indoor swimming pool.
- There is not step-free access into the room.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The width of the door opening is 51cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a stepped shower in the sauna/ steam room area. The door into the shower is 78cm and the step is 15cm high.
Steam Room
- This steam room is located opposite the indoor swimming pool.
- There is not step-free access into the room.
- There is 1 step, which is unmarked, with no handrails.
- The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The width of the door opening is 73cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre (150cm x 150cm).
Toilet (Male and Female)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 66cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
