Getting to the Room (2512)

  • The average walking time to the room is 4 minutes.
  • Exit the reception lobby via the main entrance doorway and turn left.
    Take another left and head towards the villa area. The first villa is villa 25.
    Enter the villa via the ramp then take a right into the room corridor. The door to 2512 is on the left.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a steep ramp/slope and an open entrance with no doors.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
  • There are buggies available for all guests, which are used to overcome the ramp/slope.
  • The buggies can be transferred into from a wheelchair.

Room (2512)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 84cm wide.
  • The bed type is single and double.
  • The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 11cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 76cm.

Ensuite (2512 - Right Hand Transfer)

  • The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 76cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin, a standard bath and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 65cm.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
  • The width of the shower opening is 99cm. There is a dropdown rail and a flip-down seat in the shower.
