Access Guide
Getting to the Room (4302)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the slight ramp and continue along the level pathway.
Take a left when you reach the covered walkway leading to Building 43, then veer right. Continue along the room corridor until you reach the door to room 4302. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and slight ramps/slopes.
Room (4302)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 65cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 5cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (4302 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 88cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 78cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
