  • Externally the lift has: a door with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings, controls that are not at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and tactile markings.
  • The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
  • The lift door opening width is 90cm.
  • The dimensions of the lift are 180cm x 150cm.
  • There are other lifts which are similar in size at the same location.
  • Internally the lift has; a mirror to aid reversing, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), Braille markings, tactile markings and buttons with a high colour contrast to the surroundings.

Getting Around the Resort

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception Lobby - Left Hand Transfer)

  • There is step-free level access into the toilet.
  • There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
  • The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
  • The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
  • The toilet door has a twist lock.
  • The dimensions of the cubicle are 235cm x 112cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
  • There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
  • The lateral transfer space is 150cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
  • There is a spatula flush on the non transfer side.
  • The following grab rails are available: a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin.
  • There is a dropdown rail on the non-transfer side.
  • The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
  • The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
  • The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet seat (48cm), the toilet roll holder (between 80cm - 100cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
  • The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
