Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception Lobby - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 235cm x 112cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 150cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a spatula flush on the non transfer side.
- The following grab rails are available: a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin.
- There is a dropdown rail on the non-transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet seat (48cm), the toilet roll holder (between 80cm - 100cm), the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm) and towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the grab rail, the dropdown rail, the floor and the toilet seat.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror which has been angled for ease of use.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a waste bin without lid and a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
