Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1102)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit the reception lobby via the door on the left hand side of the reception desk and turn left. Proceed straight ahead along the sloping pathway and bypass the pool area.
- Take the steep ramp, turn left then continue up the second steep ramp. Continue along another sloping pathway, bypassing the children's playground towards the accommodation building and you will find room 1102.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes, steep ramps/slopes, manual doors and a very steep ramp/slope.
Room (1102)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 8 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is twin.
- The top of the mattress is 53cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- There is hard flooring.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair without armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), bedside plug sockets and plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm).
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm).
- The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- The room does have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door and the ensuite door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the room floor.

Ensuite (1102 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 102cm .
- There is hard flooring.
- The toilet seat is 43cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the dropdown rail, the floor and the toilet seat.
- The ensuite has: a wheel-in shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
