Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Level 1 - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is no signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 80cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 310cm x 150cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 220cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a lever flush on the transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the seat.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: hand dryer, the wash basin, towel dispenser and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: towel dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm) and the soap dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: both dropdown rails, the toilet seat and the floor.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a waste bin without lid.
- There are no coat hooks.
