Access Guide
Getting to (Outdoor Pool)
- The outdoor pool is located on level -1.
Access from the foyer is via the lift down to level -1.
As you exit the lift, turn left and the entrance to the outdoor pool area is ahead. - The most accessible route has manual doors and a lift.

Entrance (Outdoor Pool)
- The entrance to the swimming pool is located on level -1.
- There is step-free level access at the entrance to the swimming pool.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open away from you.
- The width of the door opening is 80cm.
- The doors have a low colour contrast.
Swimming Pool (Outdoor Pool)
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is a ramp with a handrail on the right going down to get into the water.
- Access into the water is via a ladder or steps.
- There are 4 steps with handrails on both sides.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty but not at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: chairs with armrests and sun loungers.
- Additional facilities include: a whirlpool, poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Outdoor Pool - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 86cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 224cm x 208cm and it has a turning space of at least 150cm x 150cm.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 60cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the wall above the cistern.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on the non-transfer side.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin, the soap dispenser and hand dryer.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (between 80cm - 100cm) and the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and hand dryer (not between 80cm - 100cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door, the floor and all grab rails.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat.

- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is push.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- The width of the gap to access the toilet area is 135cm.
There is a small lip at the entrance to the toilet area.
