Access Guide
Getting to (Platinum Lounge)
- The Platinum Lounge is located on level P5 of the Platinum building. There is step-free access via the lift from level P6.
There are two entrances located on level P5. Both have automatic doors with slopes leading up to them. - The most accessible route has a slight ramp/slope, step-free level access, automatic doors and a lift.

Lift (Platinum Club)
- The lift is located on level P6 in the corridor leading from the main building.
- The floors that can be accessed from this lift are P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 (Platinum Restaurant/Lounge), P6 (Suites) and P7 (Platinum bar and infinity pool).
- This lift is a standard lift.
- Externally the lift has: buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm) and a door with a medium colour contrast to the surroundings.
- The lift does have a recommended turning space (150cm x 150cm) in front of it.
- The lift door opening width is 90cm.
- The dimensions of the lift are 120cm x 140cm.
- Internally the lift has; a visual floor indicator, controls at a recommended height (between 90cm - 120cm), tactile markings, Braille markings and buttons with a low colour contrast to the surroundings.
Seating
- There is step-free level access into the seating area.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: booths, sofas and armchairs.
- The tables are not suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- Some flooring is patterned.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- Lighting levels are low in this seating area.
Toilet (Platinum Lounge)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 76cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
