Access Guide
Getting to the Room (330)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception lobby, take the steep ramp to access the lifts and take a lift to level 3.
On exiting the lift, turn left then right into the room corridor. Room 330 is on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and a steep ramp/slope.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- The width of the lift door opening is 80cm.
- The internal dimensions for the lift are 99cm x 120cm.
- Some flooring on the route is patterned.
Room (330)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 92cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 57cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 24cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 89cm.
Ensuite (330 - Transfer Both Sides)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 79cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the on both sides of the toilet with a minimum width of 117cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
