Access Guide
Getting to the Room (555)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From reception take a lift to the 5th floor. Turn left when exiting the lift and room 555 will be immediately ahead of you.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (555)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 50cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 86cm.
Ensuite (555)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 126cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side, a vertical grab rail on the transfer side and a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
