Access Guide
Getting to the Room (Bungalow 79)
- The average walking time to the room is 5 minutes.
- Exit reception via the rear exit door (to the side) and take the slight ramp down. Cross the patio and continue on the straight pathway towards the rear of the resort.
Follow the clearly marked signposts, giving directions towards bungalow 79, then take the ramped pathway directly to the bungalow. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, slight ramps/slopes and an automatic door.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (Bungalow 79)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- There is step-free access into the room, via a ramp.
- The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 89cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 60cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 26cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (Bungalow 79 - Right Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 86cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower without a step.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the right hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 158cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and a horizontal grab rail at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
