Access Guide
Getting to (Arion Bar)
- The bar is in Pantheon Hall, in the grounds between the Fishing Village and Aegean Village.
- The most accessible route has steep ramps/slopes and manual doors.
- The nearest toilet with adaptations for disabled people is in the Basement level of Pantheon Hall, please click here for more information (new tab).
Entrance (Pantheon Hall)
- The entrance to the building is located in the Aphrodite Garden.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the building.
- The ramp is steep, over 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- The ramp overcomes the steps.
- There are manual doors at the entrance, which open towards you.
- The width of the door opening is 143cm.
- The doors have a high colour contrast.
Bar
- The bar serves drinks.
- The following are available: drinking straws, takeaway cups, a portable card machine for payment and room charge.
- There is no hearing assistance system.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- None of the counters are at the recommended height for wheelchair users (between 76cm - 85cm) .
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny and patterned.
- Lighting levels in this bar are low in the evening.
Seating
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is space for a wheelchair user to manoeuvre in the seating area (150cm x 150cm).
- The seating includes: chairs with armrests, high stools and sofas.
- Some of the tables are suitable for wheelchair users (between 70cm - 80cm and free from obstruction).
- The flooring inside is hard.
- The flooring is shiny and patterned.
- There is background noise which varies, depending on the time of day.
- Lighting levels in this seating area are low in the evening.
