Access Guide
Getting to (Outdoor Slide Pool)
- The outdoor slide pool is located to the far left of the resort grounds, close to the main lagoon pool.
- The most accessible route has doors permanently held open and a slight ramp/slope.
Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor splash park with waterslides.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.
- Access into the water is via a ladder or steps.
- There are 6 steps with a central handrail.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The following adaptations are available for disabled people: pool lift.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
- There are four water slides, all of which have stepped access.
Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 98cm.
- The toilet door has a push button lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 151cm x 198cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is not a lateral transfer space next to the toilet.
- There is a push button flush.
- The following grab rails are available: a horizontal grab rail on both sides of the toilet and a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder and the soap dispenser.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the wash basin.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the toilet seat (not at 48cm) and the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
