Access Guide
Getting to the Room (1004)
- The average walking time to the room is 8 minutes.
- Exit the building through the double doors to the left of reception.
Turn right down the ramp and continue along the path.
Follow the path along the zig zag ramp and follow the path to the left at the bottom of the ramp.
Continue along the path, round to the left, into the entrance marked building 1. - The most accessible route to the room has steep ramps/slopes.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (1004)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 3 rooms of this type in the resort.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 80cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 44cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 10cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
Ensuite (1004)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 77cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail on the non transfer side and horizontal grab rails at the shower.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
- The shower has a flip-down seat.
