Getting to the Room (Room 3021)

The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
From the entrance foyer, pass the reception on your left hand side and head through the permanently held open doors. Continue down the ramp and follow the path to the right. Take a left and continue down the steep slope, Almond House (Block 3) is at the end of the path. Continue through the permanently held open door, turn left and room 3021 is on the right hand side.
The most accessible route to the room has doors permanently held open and steep ramps/slopes.
The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
There is step-free level access into the room.
The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
The room door opening is 79cm wide.
The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
The top of the mattress is 54cm from the floor.
Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
There is hard flooring.
The flooring is shiny.
Seating in the room includes: a sofa and a chair without armrests.
The following adaptations are available: bedside plug sockets, plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm) and window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm).
The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), adapted wardrobes for seated users and a lowered spyhole.
The room has a fridge. This can be used to store medication.
The room does not have an emergency alarm.
The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the ensuite door, the internal room door and the room floor.

The toilet seat is 52cm from the floor.
There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail on the non transfer side, horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical rail on the right side of the wash basin.
Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin.
The taps are lever mixer.
The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
