Access Guide
Getting to the Room (026)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From reception, cross the reception lobby to the room corridor, which is located to the left of the toilets.
Head down the steep slope in the corridor, then carry on until you reach room number 026. - The most accessible route to the room has a steep ramp/slope.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
Room (026)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 9 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 76cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 55cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 23cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- There is hard flooring.
- Seating in the room includes: a chair with armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm), light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm) and bedside plug sockets.
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), adapted wardrobes for seated users and a lowered spyhole.
- The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the ensuite door.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal room door and the room floor.

Balcony / Terrace

- There is a balcony. The door is over 75cm wide and has a small threshold
- The balcony has: chairs without armrests, a coffee table and sun loungers.
Ensuite (Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 75cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 150cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The toilet seat is 40cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever.
- The ensuite does not have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the dropdown rail and all grab rails.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the toilet seat.
- The ensuite has: a shower with a step.
- There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
