Access Guide
Getting to
- The outdoor pool is located in the centre of the resort grounds.
- The most accessible route has a lift, a steep ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and doors permanently held open.

Swimming Pool
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- Access into the water is via a ladder.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The following adaptations are available for disabled people: hydraulic hoist.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty at all times.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers, chairs with armrests and chairs without armrests.
- Additional facilities include: poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Outdoor Pool - Left Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free access into the toilet, via a ramp.
- The ramp is steep between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There is pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a medium colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 79cm.
- The toilet door has a sliding bolt lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 207cm x 146cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the left of the toilet as you look at it, but it is obstructed.
- The lateral transfer space is 90cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on the transfer side.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- The following fixtures can be reached from the toilet seat: a toilet roll holder on the dropdown rail.
- The following fixtures cannot be reached from the toilet seat: the toilet roll holder, the wash basin, the soap dispenser and towel dispenser.
- The following fixtures are at the recommended height: the soap dispenser (between 80cm - 100cm).
- The following fixtures are not at the recommended height: the toilet seat (not at 48cm), the toilet roll holder (not between 80cm - 100cm), the wash basin (not between 72cm - 74cm), towel dispenser (not between 80cm - 100cm) and the baby changing facility (not at 75cm).
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- Lighting levels are low in the cubicle.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the floor and the dropdown rail.
- The following have a less clear colour contrast with their surroundings: the internal toilet door and the toilet seat.
- There is no emergency alarm.
- The toilet has a mirror.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The cubicle has a waste bin without lid.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
Toilet (Male and Female)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There are 9 steps to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with a handrail on the left going down.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 76cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
