Getting to the Room (104 - Room with Adaptations for Disabled People with Step-Free Shower)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- Enter the building and turn left at reception.
Follow the main corridor until you reach a large set of wooden and glass doors. At the door, turn right to face the main bank of lifts.
Take a lift to the 1st floor.
After exiting the lift go straight ahead through the double doors then turn left. Room 104 will be located on the right. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access, a standard lift and manual doors.
- The majority of walkway widths on the route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (104 - With Adaptions for Disabled People)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are more than 10 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 77cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 62cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 13cm high.
- Furniture can be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed .
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is not shiny or patterned.
- Seating in the room includes: chairs with armrests.
- The following adaptations are available: light switches at a recommended height (between 75cm - 120cm), plug sockets at a recommended height (between 40cm - 100cm) and bedside plug sockets.
- The following adaptations are not available: a desk at a recommended height (between 72cm - 76cm), adapted wardrobes for seated users, window controls at a recommended height (between 80cm - 100cm) and a lowered spyhole.
- The room has a fridge. This cannot be used to store medication.
- The room does not have an emergency alarm.
- The room does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The room does not have a ceiling track hoist.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: the room floor.

- There is a lateral transfer space on the on both sides of the toilet with a minimum width of 100cm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is patterned.
- The toilet seat is 46cm from the floor.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- Fixtures that are in reach from the toilet include: the toilet roll holder.
- Fixtures that are out of reach from the toilet include: the wash basin and the soap dispenser.
- The taps are lever mixer.
- The ensuite does have an emergency alarm.
- The ensuite does not have a flashing fire alarm.
- The following have a high colour contrast with their surroundings: both dropdown rails, all grab rails and the floor.
