Getting to the Room (043)

  • The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
  • From the reception desk, cross the lobby and turn left to continue past the sofas. Head through the open doorways at the far end and take a right into the corridor, passing the pool table.
    Take another right into room corridor and the door to room 043 is on the right.
  • The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
  • The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
  • Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.

Room (043)

  • This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 7 rooms of this type in the resort.
  • All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
  • There is step-free level access into the room.
  • The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
  • The room door opening is 75cm wide.
  • The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
  • The top of the mattress is 59cm from the floor.
  • The space under the bed is 25cm high.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
  • The room does have an emergency alarm.
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The width of the balcony door is 73cm.

Ensuite (043 - No Transfer Space)

  • The ensuite door opens away from you and has an opening width of 76cm.
  • There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
  • There is hard flooring.
  • The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
  • There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as the wash basin obstructs it.
  • Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
  • There is a dropdown rail for the toilet.
  • Grab rails in the ensuite include: a horizontal grab rail for the toilet, a horizontal grab rail at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
  • There is not a turning space in the shower for a wheelchair user (150cm x 150cm).
