Access Guide
Resort Information
- The resort is located off Avenida Faro Pechiguera in Playa Blanca, southwest Lanzarote.
- The resort is spread over one main building and several smaller accommodation blocks. The resort is accessible via level pathways, slight ramps, steep ramps and lifts.
- This resort has the following facilities: rooms with some adaptations for disabled people, swimming pools, a splash park and restaurants.
- The resort has 632 rooms available. 8 of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Standard rooms with adjoining rooms are available.
- There are 6 restaurants.
- There are 8 swimming pools (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: toilets with some adaptations for disabled people and step-free standard toilets.
- Toilet facilities with some adaptations for disabled people can be found on every floor in the main building, in the pool area, next to the main connecting bridge and next the sports bar.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found on every floor in the main building, in the pool area, next to the main connecting bridge and next the sports bar.
- Baby change facilities can be found within the standard female toilets on every floor in the main building, in the pool area, next to the main connecting bridge and next to the sports bar.
- The resort has the following available: a pool hoist.
- There is a medication fridge at the reception.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- There is a mobility scooter charging station near reception where mobility scooters can be stored and charged, alternatively guests can store and charge them in their rooms.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are not available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored in the guests' rooms.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.
- The walk to the nearby beach takes approximately 20 minutes, or it's about five minutes by taxi to Playa Blanca. However, there is a promenade which runs along the rear of the resort that provides sea views but is not at beach level.
On-site Facilities

- The following areas have step-free level access: There is step-free level access from reception (level 6) to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people, lifts, toilets with adaptations for disabled people and standard toilets with baby changing facilities.
- The following areas have step-free access via lift: There is step-free access via lift to the main buffet restaurant, the entertainment area and the exit from the main building to access the pools, spa and activities.
- The following areas have step-free access via slight ramps or slopes: There is step-free access via a slight slope in front of the main entrance doors and to access the piano bar in the reception lobby.
- The following areas have step-free access via steep or very steep ramps or slopes: There is step-free access via steep ramps to the pool area, the toilets with adaptations for disabled people next to the pool and to the promenade (not at beach level).
- There is an outdoor stair lift which bypasses the steep ramp down to the promenade. The promenade which runs along the rear of the resort provides sea views but is not at beach-level.
Entrance
- The entrance to the resort is located at the front of the building on Avenida Faro Pechiguera.
- There is step-free access via ramp at the entrance to the resort.
- The ramp is slight, between 75cm and 150cm wide, with no handrails.
- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 190cm.
- There is a second set of manual doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.
- The width of the door opening is 190cm.
Reception (Level 6)
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- The reception desk is too high for a wheelchair user.
- The reception does not have a hearing assistance system.
- There is hard flooring.
- The height of the reception desk is 110cm. The width of the ramp to the piano bar is 130cm.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, shops, bars, restaurants, an indoor pool, a gym and sports courts.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- There is step-free level access from reception (level 6) to the rooms with adaptations for disabled people, lifts, toilets with adaptations for disabled people and standard toilets with baby changing facilities.

Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 95cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 120cm x 160cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 90cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.

- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There are wash basins and a baby changing unit outside of the toilet cubicles in the main toilet. The main door into the toilets is 85cm wide.

- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- There is a baby change facility which is not at a recommended height (75cm).
- The height of the baby changing unit is 120cm.
