Toilet with Adaptations for Disabled People (Reception - Right Hand Transfer)
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- There is pictorial signage on or near the toilet door.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 95cm.
- The toilet door has a twist lock.
- The dimensions of the cubicle are 120cm x 160cm and it does not have a 150cm x 150cm turning space.
- There is a lateral transfer space to the right of the toilet as you look at it.
- The lateral transfer space is 90cm (from the side of the toilet pan to the wall).
- There is a push button flush on top of the cistern.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Fixtures within the toilet include: a toilet roll holder and an emergency alarm.
- There is no shelf in the toilet.
- The shelf does not meet the criteria for Stoma Friendly Toilets. For the Stoma Friendly Toilets criteria click here.
- The cubicle has a pedal bin.
- There are no coat hooks.
- There are wash basins and a baby changing unit outside of the toilet cubicles in the main toilet. The main door into the toilets is 85cm wide.
