Access Guide
Getting to the Room (403)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception desk go left and proceed throught the blue fire doors and bear right along the first room corridor.
Take a left into the second room corridor then the door to room 403 is on the left. - The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Room (403)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 9 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a low colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 81cm wide.
- The bed type is double.
- The top of the mattress is 52cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 30cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 115cm.
Ensuite (Room 403 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 99cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 85cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is a dropdown rail on the transfer side.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a vertical grab rail at the shower.
- There is a flip-down seat in the shower.
