Access Guide
Getting to (Main Outdoor Pool)
- The main outdoor swimming pool is located on Level -1 (Swimming Pool Level), to the rear right of the hotel building. For step-free access, go via the Quiet Outdoor Pool and walk around the rear of the hotel through the grounds.
- The most accessible route has a step, a lift, a slight ramp/slope (which bypasses any steps) and doors permanently held open.

Swimming Pool (Main Outdoor Pool)
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.

- Access into the water is via steps.
- There are 8 steps with a central handrail.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty at peak times only.
- Seating around the pool includes: sun loungers and chairs with armrests.
- Additional facilities include: a children's pool, poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.

Swimming Pool (Children's Pool)
- This is an outdoor swimming pool.
- There is step-free level access into the pool area.

- Guests get into the water by dropping directly in from the side of the pool.
- There is step-free level access around the whole pool.
- The pool has a lifeguard on duty at all times.

- The flooring is hard.

Splash Park (Children's Pool)
- This is an outdoor splash park with waterslides.
- There is step-free level access into the area.

- There is a ramp without handrails to get into the water.
- Access into the water is via a ramp or steps.
- There is 1 step with no handrails.
- No slides have step-free access.
- There is step-free access around the whole splash park.
- The area has a lifeguard on duty at all times.
- Seating in the area includes: sun loungers and chairs with armrests.
- Additional facilities include: a children's pool, poolside showers and a poolside bar.
- The flooring is hard.
- There is step-free level access to the poolside showers.
Toilet (By Indoor Pool)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the toilet.
- The toilet door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 74cm.
- The width of the door into the toilet cubicle is not over 75cm.
- The wash basin tap type is lever mixer.
- There is a baby change facility at a recommended height (75cm).
Changing Area (By Indoor Pool)
- The facilities available within the changing area include; standard changing rooms/cubicles, standard showers, standard toilets and baby change facilities.
- The male and female changing areas was surveyed, and available.
- There is step-free level access into the area.
- The door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The width of the door opening is 74cm.
- There is step-free level access around the area.
- There is hard flooring.
- The flooring is shiny.
- The seating in the changing area includes: chairs with armrests.
- The changing area has: a standard shower with no step-free access.
- The showers have an adjustable, detachable shower head not at a recommended height (between 105cm - 185cm).
- The width of the shower door opening is 65cm.
- Toilet facilities include: step-free standard toilets.
- The width of the toilet door opening is 69cm.
- There is a baby change facility at a recommended height (75cm).
- There is a second set of doors into the area, with identical specifications to the first. Both sets of doors are permanently held open.
