Access Guide
Getting to the Room (G35)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From the reception desk, take a right and proceed through the fire doors into the room corridor. At the end of the corridor, turn left and room G35 is the second door on the left.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and doors permanently held open.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are between 120cm and 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny and patterned.
Ensuite (G35 - Ground Floor - No Transfer Space)
- The ensuite door opens towards you and has an opening width of 66cm.
- There is not room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a shower cubicle.
- There is no lateral transfer space next to the toilet, as there is not enough space.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder and a soap dispenser.
- There is no dropdown rail.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: a diagonal grab rail at the shower.
Room (G35 - Ground Floor)
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 85cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 56cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 4cm high.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn next to the bed (150cm x 150cm).
- The room does have an emergency alarm.
- There is hard flooring.
- The width of the balcony door is 91cm.
