Access Guide
Resort Information
- The Hotel Mediterranee is located just above a sandy beach in Lassi, on the Greek island of Kefalonia.
- The resort consists of one main building with a lift to access the guest room floors.
There are ramps of varying degrees to overcome some of the internal level changes, however, there is stepped access only to the toilet facilities. - This resort has the following facilities: beach access, a swimming pool and restaurants.
- The resort has 227 rooms available. none of these rooms have adaptations for disabled people.
- Adjoining rooms are not available.
- There are 2 restaurants.
- There is 1 swimming pool (excluding room pools).
- Toilet and changing facilities available include: standard toilets.
- Standard toilet facilities can be found near reception, in the pool area.
- Baby change facilities can be found in the standard toilets near recepition.
- The resort has the following available: bath mats and raised toilet seats.
- There is a medication fridge available on request.
- Guests cannot hire mobility equipment from the resort.
- Guests can hire mobility equipment locally.
- The resort has a list of local suppliers.
- Guests can use their own mobility scooter at the resort.
- Mobility scooters can be stored and charged in the reception lobby.
- We have been told that assistance dogs are allowed in most areas of the resort.
- Assistance dogs are able to stay with guests in rooms with adaptations for disabled people.
- Assistance dog spending areas are not available in the resort.
- Water bowls for assistance dogs are available.
- Guests can bring food for assistance dogs which can be stored the guests' rooms.
- This resort is not aware of the Sunflower Lanyard Scheme.
- There is not a Safe/Quiet Place available in the resort.
- WiFi is available throughout the resort.

- There are automatic doors at the entrance, which open by sliding.
- The width of the door opening is 182cm.
- There is a second set of automatic doors at the entrance, which are permanently open.

Reception
- There is step-free level access to reception.
- There is a reception desk at a suitable height for a wheelchair user.
- The reception has a hearing assistance system which is not signed.
- There is hard flooring.
Getting Around the Building
- This building contains a main reception, shops, bars and restaurants.
- The building has multiple floors which can be accessed via stairs and lift.
- There is step-free level access to the main restaurant and the entertainment area.

- The floors that can be accessed from the lift are -1, G, 1, 2, 3, 4.
- The lift door opening width is 79cm.

Toilet (Near the Swimming Pool Area)
- The male and female standard toilets were surveyed.
- There is not step-free access into the toilet.
- There is 1 step to access the toilet. These are unmarked, with no handrails.
- The toilet door is manual, opens outwards and has a low colour contrast with the surrounding walls.
- The main entrance door to the toilet block is permanently held open.
