Access Guide
Getting to the Room (120)
- The average walking time to the room is 2 minutes.
- From reception, take a lift to level 1. On exiting the lift, turn right and continue along the room corridor. The door to room 120 is on the right.
- The most accessible route to the room has step-free level access and a standard lift.
- The majority of the walkways on route to the room are over 180cm.
- Some flooring on the route is shiny.
Room (120)
- This room has adaptations for disabled people. There are 4 rooms of this type in the resort.
- All rooms with adaptations for disabled people are similar to the one surveyed.
- There is step-free level access into the room.
- The room door is manual, opens inwards and has a high colour contrast.
- The room door opening is 89cm wide.
- The bed type is made from two single beds pushed together.
- The top of the mattress is 67cm from the floor.
- The space under the bed is 35cm high.
- Furniture cannot be moved to enable a turning space (150cm x 150cm) next to the bed.
- The room does have an emergency alarm.

Ensuite (120 - Left Hand Transfer)
- The ensuite door slides open and has an opening width of 80cm.
- There is room for a wheelchair user to turn in the ensuite (150cm x 150cm).
- There is hard flooring.
- The facilities in the ensuite include: a toilet, a wash basin and a wheel-in shower.
- There is a lateral transfer space on the left hand side of the toilet with a minimum width of 160cm.
- Fixtures within the ensuite include: a toilet roll holder, a soap dispenser and an emergency alarm.
- There is a dropdown rail on both sides of the toilet seat.
- Grab rails in the ensuite include: horizontal grab rails at the shower and a vertical grab rail at the shower.
